Highlights from Design Drip #10

Design Drip is a monthly Las Vegas creative meetup, held at  /usr/lib in the Emergency Arts building downtown.

Design Drip #10 featured Don Cramer of Rocket 36, giving a presentation on how a solid proposal keeps a project on time and within budget. Prior to Rocket36, Don was a product manager for Active.com and VP of Development for OpenCourse Solutions.

Creative proposals are an artform in themselves, and Don gave us several points in which to openly discuss our trials and tribulations in dealing with clients, allowing everyone to throw out suggestions, scenarios, etc.

Check out this article on Creative Republic for a great resource on writing a design proposal. What kind of strategies do YOU employ when writing a creative proposal? We’d like to hear your thoughts on talking about scope, responsibility, and money with potential clients. Leave your comments and links below!

Join us at the next Design Drip, Saturday September 8th.
