On Saturday Night, creatives from all over the Las Vegas valley gathered at The Copa Room at The Bootlegger for the 2012 AIGA Las Vegas Work Show Gala. There was food, drink, and a photobooth where guests took fun photos using props to commemorate the evening. But the reason everyone was there was to see who took the top honors in the first Work Show since 2009.
The Best of Show award went to MGM Resorts, for their Year of the Dragon Chinese New Year announcement. It was a truly designed piece; every detail had been considered. Some other design selections that captured the attention of the three judges: A Jubilee souvenir editorial book designed by Caesars Entertainment, and a very detailed Blackjack Invitation designed by The Venetian.
It's exciting to see in-house design teams getting some much-needed exposure. Checko Salgado was there to document the festivities, and ArtsVegas is pleased to share his photos of the event.
